Security Practices
Effective Date: February 16, 2026
This Security Practices Statement describes the general security measures implemented by OzNet, operated from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (“OzNet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Statement is for informational purposes only and does not create contractual guarantees or warranties of security.
1. Purpose
OzNet provides cyber intelligence services and security-related technology. Given the nature of these services, reasonable and proportionate safeguards are implemented to protect client information and operational integrity.
Security measures are designed to reduce risk; however, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
2. Website Security
The Website (oznetsecurity.com) operates using HTTPS/SSL encryption to protect data transmitted between users and the Website.
We utilize third-party hosting providers and infrastructure services. These providers maintain their own security controls and operational standards. OzNet is not responsible for the independent security practices of third-party service providers.
3. Data Handling & Retention
Client data submitted for services may include sensitive or investigative information.
Data handling principles:
- Information is used solely for the purpose of delivering the requested service.
- Reports are delivered electronically unless otherwise agreed.
- Client data is generally deleted after service delivery.
- In cases deemed high-risk, certain records may be retained for security, compliance, fraud prevention, or legal protection purposes unless deletion is requested by the client.
- Clients may request deletion of submitted materials, subject to legal retention requirements.
OzNet reserves discretion regarding retention where necessary to protect operational or legal interests.
4. Access Controls
Access to client information is limited to authorized personnel where necessary for service delivery.
Internal access controls may include authentication safeguards. Multi-factor authentication may be used where appropriate; however, specific internal security configurations are not publicly disclosed for security reasons.
5. Operational Confidentiality
We implement internal measures to reduce unauthorized disclosure of client-related information.
However:
- Electronic communications may carry inherent risks.
- Third-party platforms, email systems, and internet infrastructure are outside our direct control.
- Clients assume the inherent risks associated with electronic transmission.
OzNet does not guarantee absolute confidentiality against sophisticated or unlawful intrusion attempts.
6. Software & Product Security
Software products are provided with reasonable protective measures but are not warranted to be error-free or immune from vulnerabilities.
Hardware and signal-detection devices are sold as security tools and must be used responsibly. Improper configuration, modification, or misuse may create risk.
OzNet is not responsible for security failures arising from:
- User modification
- Improper installation
- Environmental factors
- Third-party interference
- Misuse or unlawful use
7. Third-Party Services
We may rely on third-party providers for:
- Hosting
- Payment processing
- Form submission processing
- Infrastructure support
Each third-party provider maintains its own security practices. OzNet does not control or guarantee the security policies of these entities.
8. Incident Response
If a security issue is identified that materially impacts client information, we may take appropriate remedial steps as deemed reasonable under the circumstances.
We reserve discretion regarding notification timing and method.
9. No Security Guarantees
This Statement does not constitute:
- A guarantee of protection from cyber threats
- A representation of invulnerability
- A warranty of uninterrupted service
- A promise of breach prevention
All services, platforms, and technologies inherently involve risk.
10. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Securing their own devices and networks
- Maintaining confidentiality of communications
- Using purchased software and hardware lawfully
- Protecting delivered reports and materials
